Established in 1983, in South Africa by well-known artist Eileen Rogoff. The Rogoff Art School has been offering art instruction and education to adults as well as children from 5 to 18 years old for the past 20 years in Australia. We are located in the heart of Watson's bay, one of Sydney's most scenic and serene neighbourhoods - surrounded by the harbour, ocean and parklands- our studio is the perfect environment for students to be inspired, learn, relax and have fun. Our space has provided a safe and collaborative atmosphere for creation, expression and exploration of all art media with a focus on painting.
Cyndi and Eileen provide instruction to support people of all levels to develop a strong art foundation, discipline and knowledge. Our approach offers both traditional and contemporary styles that allow students to develop their skills, imagination and creativity. The studio continuously exposes students to inspiring artworks and new ideas, and is filled with plenty of resources and an eclectic mix of artistic references. We offer a broad range of subject matter choices, such as still life, landscape, abstract art, portrait, figure, animals and life drawing. We teach oil painting, acrylics, watercolour, drawing media, pastels, inks, mixed media and also small sculpture. Students receive individual guidance within a friendly, supportive group environment, as well as individual focused attention within private lessons. Each person walks in with an empty canvas and leaves with a polished finished artwork that reflects their uniqueness and strengths.
We strive to promote students artwork and help them to achieve their own artistic practice by holding events at our space and group exhibitions. Our outcomes have proven outstanding results in children's academic performance, with HSC kids having topped the state, being selected and exhibiting in Art Express and other children being accepted into the Young Archie's Exhibitions. Many adult students have gone on to exhibit their artwork in Sydney, interstate and worldwide, with much acclaim for their achievements.
