CYNDI ROGOFF is a successful contemporary abstract artist. Her colourful canvases have a suggestive presence that evoke intense visual pleasure by appealing directly to the senses. Cyndi's deep understanding of the materials and techniques is reflected within her finely-tuned artworks. The works reflect subtleties of colour, light, luminosity and form. They are multi-layered and richly textured with complex under-painting. The gestural movements in her paintings have what can be described as a 'lyrical fluency'. She incorporates bold painterly brushstrokes and dripped paint together with thinned veiled stains to create shifting layers of colour. This effect is emphasized by the use of numerous applications of paint where seemingly spontaneous compositional elements appear and disappear. The artworks each have their own distinctive feeling and often contain sensitive detailed markings that have been directly engraved or drawn into the paint. Various uses of mixed media and embedded metals are also intricately woven within the layers.

As well as having a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters degree in Art Therapy, Cyndi had the privilege and inspiration of an artistic upbringing. Having a parent as a well-known artist and mentor, Cyndi has always known a life of art. Her artwork is highly regarded and has been exhibited in Australia and abroad and is in many private collections. She has a well regarded reputation and is highly sought after for private commissions and works for exhibitions from her studio. Cyndi was recently selected as one of several Australian artists to paint numerous artworks that were published for an exclusive range of limited edition signed and numbered prints, displayed and sold in galleries on various Cruise Ships (P&O, Princess & Carnival Domestic liners). Cyndi has also established a highly successful art school in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, where she has taught daily art classes to both adults and children of all ages for the last twenty years.
